about me.

I’ve always been a creative person. Whether it was drawing, experimenting with different ideas or finding new ways to make something look and feel a certain way, creativity has always been something I naturally gravitate towards. It’s a big part of who I am, and it’s something that has followed me from my hobbies into my career as a Graphic Designer.

Outside of design, I enjoy keeping active and regularly go to the gym, as well as going for walks and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy watercolour painting, which gives me a completely different way to be creative. I like the slower, more hands-on side of painting and the fact that it doesn’t have to be perfect. In different ways, my hobbies have always given me another outlet for the same creativity that I bring into my work.

I currently work as a Junior Graphic Designer at Bathroom Takeaway, where I work across branding, campaigns, social media, print and digital. Working in-house has given me the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects and to see ideas develop from an initial concept through to the finished piece. I enjoy that variety and the fact that no two projects are quite the same.

A lot of my work involves finding ways to make an idea feel clear, engaging and true to the brand behind it. I particularly enjoy developing visual identities and campaigns, refining existing brands and thinking about how one idea can work across different formats. I like getting into the details, whether that’s typography, colour, layout, imagery or tone of voice, while always keeping the bigger idea in mind.

I’ve also learned that good design isn’t just about making something look good. It’s about understanding the purpose behind it, knowing who you’re speaking to and finding the right way to communicate the message. I enjoy the problem-solving side of design just as much as the creative side, and I’m always looking for ways to learn, experiment and improve.

Some of the experiences that have shaped me outside of design include being selected as Head Student at school, becoming County Champion in the 800m in 2019 and representing my school at the Town Hall through Eco Tech in 2023, where I spoke about sustainability and installation grants.

I’m still developing as a designer and figuring out where I can take my creativity next. What I enjoy most is making things, exploring ideas and seeing them turn into something real, whether that’s a campaign, a brand, a piece of artwork or simply something I’ve created for myself.
