The Close to Home Campaign
Not every love story happens out in the world. Some unfold quietly, over steamy mirrors, under warm towels, and beside softly humming radiators. It’s in the everyday moments, the quiet routines, the shared spaces. That’s where real closeness lives.
My Roll
This was the first marketing campaign I worked on as a Graphic Designer, giving me the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire creative process. From the initial concept development, through to the final campaign assets.
During the early stages, I created a series of mood boards to help establish the visual direction, drawing inspiration from cinematic photography, warm lighting, intimate compositions and textures. These boards played an important role in shaping the campaign's aesthetic and ensuring a consistent creative vision across every touchpoint.
As the campaign developed, I worked closely with the marketing team to explore ideas, contribute to creative discussions and help refine the overall direction. Rather than simply designing final artwork, I was involved in the decision-making process, helping transform an initial concept into a fully realised campaign.
I also assisted during the production stage by helping to plan and organise test shoots, experimenting with compositions, lighting and styling to ensure the imagery reflected the campaign's intended atmosphere. These test sessions helped inform the final creative approach before production began.
Once the creative direction had been established, I supported the design of the final advertising assets, ensuring they aligned with the campaign's visual identity while effectively communicating the core message. This project gave me valuable experience of working collaboratively within a creative team, understanding how a campaign evolves from research and concept development through to final execution, and reinforced the importance of consistency, storytelling and attention to detail throughout the design process.
